Fishin' was good today

I caught over thirty bass and ten bream. The problem was that only one of the bass was over 1 lb. The rest were between 8-10 inches lol, so I sitched to an ultralight and had a little fun. I did break one off over 5 lbs. on a fluke [&:] The trick was beetle spins, Cherry U-tale worms, and Flukes in the baby bass assortment of color.

Id trade you, I felt like I was catching bait after a while.
I fished from 3:45 til 7:15, so I spent a good amount of time out there as well Chuck,
Im goin to bed, I have a grouper charter to work on tomorrow, no catching for me, but some money to be made

Brett,

I still haven't gotten a fish on a fluke..Do you fish it Texas or peg a split shot about a foot above the hook?

I hear it's a deadly bait. Yesterday from 7 to 1:30 I didn't get my first bass till 10:30AM and that's because a man fishing with shiners gave me 5..I caught the 3 pounder on a shiner..The other 4 shiners died ..

Then I went to a really thick weedy drop off where at 12;30 PM I caught 3 good bass on Fire and Ice culptret worms..Texas style fishing in 10 foot of water..All the fish are still packed with roe..

I think our crazy weather is messing them up..It's supposed to be in the 40s in FLorida this week..

The majority of fish in the pond I fished yesterday were spawned, I just got lucky and came across a bed. The edges were filled with 4 in fingerlings.

I fish the fluke without a weight at all, actually I fish a super fluke, not the regular fluke. Then just twitch it as if it were an injured minnow, sometimes fast or sometimes slow.

Caught right around 100 of them today, but again size isnt there. I caught two over 1 lb. the rest were all real small. It looks like the pond will be on fire by this time next year with plenty of 1 and 2 lb fish and in bout 3 years it will be back to normal, with plenty of 5lb and 6lb fish to go around.
