Bass are starting to spawn in my area..Matt and I boated 5 ..yesterevening ..but the hits were slow.. The bass were full of roe.They are competing with the tilapia for the beds[&o]and the gar..I caught one nice sized speck on a black and blue worm..[:-]Matt outfished me 4-1..and he had the back of the boat.. His best..2 1/2 pound female..
CHUCK- Went out last night ,had about 1hour and a half before dark.Cought 22 fish bass,crappie,bluegill and red ear.Had several get off didn't get the hook set .I thought that was a good night for the first time out.I was using a black and green jig .Hoping to get out over the weekend this time I'll keep them.
You did good Mark...I caught a couple of male bass tonight..on Culpret worms.They still aint turned on good yet..I saw about 100 tilapia which build beds just like bass..I also saw about 50 gar..
