Johnny,
I've tried many different scales..BEfore I buy a xcale I will take it out of the pack carefully and go to the weight lifting part of the store and try different weights..The only scale that I'm satisfied with is the Rapala Spring scale.....For smaller fish such as crappie and bluegill I use a post office scale at home that we use when selling stuff at ebay..

Johnny ,
Some like it ..I don't. Walmart sells it..I took 2 diffeent ones out of the package and they were off by 2 pounds..You need to carefully take them out of the package and try them first..If your walmart doesn't have weights...goto the produce section..hook a 5 pound bag of potatoes on the Berkley hook and try it..THEN try that cheap 9.99 Rapala mechanical one I was telling you about and see which one is the closest..Rapala will be right on.
