25.1 pounder caught and released in Lake Dixon , Cal..it was snagged by accident on a lure..
This is the same 21.7 that set the state record..It was caught by this man's friend.

And here's Jim Perry's world record..this photo was just found recently by arelative ..as up to this time no photo wsa ever found.Fish is 32 inches long.
He was 19 years old and fishing for food during the Great Depression..

His prize..75.00 worth of tackle from Field and Stream

The Michigan Largemouth record is 11.94 lbs. My largest is 6.4 lbs, so I guess I'm about half way there !

Well,t he lake has gone down since then. During its good ol days about 6 years ago, we could go out and catch between 30-40 fish, all averaging 3.5 to 4 lbs. I have pulled a 7 out of that lake, and lost many bigger, but since I started saltwaer fishing for a living, I just dont have time to go catch the big ones, but my old tricks still work. I will definetly get one about 5 lbs this year, I know a bigger one is needed to win though. I expect you to get a double digit fish this year
