abu garcia reels

I just bought two abu garcia cardinal spinning reels a 501 and 701 paid 35.00 for the 501 and 56.00 for the 701. They seem to be really good reels and I think i got a good price for them. what are your thoughts about these two reels.

Garcia has always been my favorite brand of fishing reels. They should be good reels for you.

I have always liked the Abus.I mostly use the "C" series for the big cats and Stripers.Usually the 6500 C3 because of the bait alarm.I am going to need a couple of new spinners in the near future so I will probally try to find an Abu open face like a super small ulta lite.One that will balance well on a 4' rod.

I've never used those models but I have used their C series and for the price I love them..I fish about 50 - 70 times a year and they are still going from the last 3 years..Price is from 30.00- 35.00. I like the extra spool that comes with it.I put Power Pro when fishing structure and mono on the open water..Best 30.00 reel out thier in my opinion.
