Default Spring Smallmouth Tactics

I' m going fishing for bass in a few weeks. The river I am fishing (Conestoga River) doesn' t have the best visibility. The section I will be fishing definetly has fish there. I caught a 16" smallmouth there on a top water lure, and got several more strikes. The river should be high, due to all the snow this winter. Thanks for any help!

I would start off by dragging around a carolina rigged worm or a grub on a leadhead.
Then depending how active they are I would maybe go to a rattle trap.
