Default Unique fishing trip this Nov. morning

Well, Matt and I set out to get a 1/4 pound of minnows and try to get a nice crappie for the board..There are two tackle shops and both were sold out of minnnows when we got there..[]I told Matt , "Now we are forced to use jigs.."

So after 5 cranks the Nissan 4 HP cranked up and we were off. The schools theses days are all about keeping data so I also began keeping data..on who caught the most and which was the best lures Shad Darts or Hal Flies..Now..I won't share my fishing technique till after the tourny as Matt had never heard the way I fish jigs before...nobody has I think[8D]I found it by accident..

After 1 hour Matt had 5 ....and Chuck7 had 2 and he was givin gme the devil..

However; after 4 hours..and changing to my technique..
Matt still had 5 and Chuck7 had 16
Hal Flies 6
Shad darts 15
Here's a gar I caught on a Hal Fly...I thought I had a 4 pound crappie..He' about 30 inches long..That litle red dot is a Hal Fly. I posted a 10 inch crappie on the contest board..Note** the leader's score will always be in green..all other scores in red..

I'll be at Tenoroc this Sunday { God willing} for this tournament though I think one may have a better chance at Lake Bonny or Saddle Creek..

Fl 77 I can see Southeastern University from my house..Lake Bonny is right across from the college..I've caught a few 16s from there but the lake has changes from our lack of water.

Decisions ..decisions..and amen..I have no desire to catch gar.

I didnt eat there hides tho - but there tuffskined buggers for sure(im wishing now i had saved some of those hides). But as far as i know just there roe/eggs are toxic.( i will miss all the turtles, catfish etc etcto)

I hear ppl make jewlery etc( the natives used them for body armor?)- out of there scales etc i think.( wish i would of got a fewamradillo shells to)
