Default Fishin line again

When I went down to fla. and fished I used 14lb green suffix line. The problem is that the line comes in colours. Green, clear, yellow and other colours. What colour line do you fish clear or tainted water? Its quite costly changing line for everybody of water you fish. I really do like using that line as I know it has great knot strength and line strength. I was throwing a worm using a 3-0 hook and snagged a tree and cranked down and pulled the line, and then I tried to break it, it didn't even break but the Tru-turn hook had actually opened up to about a 45 degree angle. I was really impressed with the strength of this line but the colours confuse me.

If its truly clear then use fluoro. If it has some color to it then my personal favorite is low vis green. (BTW I hate tru turn hooks... they rust easily and they bend easily and don't come very sharp out of the package!)

I just go with clear or lo vis green, it works in all conditions. I stick with clear 99 % of the time. I second what indyhunter said about tru turns.

I like yo zuri hybrid in smoke or olive green for 90% of my fishing. I have red line on my carolina rig rod since 99% of the time im fishing deeper than 10ft with it. Flourocarbon on my drop shot and finesse set ups.

Sorry about not replying folks but I been gone a couple weeks.
Thanks for the input but it seems like there is as many opinions as fishermen, I guess that's why they have so many different varieties to choose from. At least if I don't catch any fish I always have an excuse.
Hey Josh, I got 4 more post then you do, you better catch up.

You can never go wrong with a Gamakatzu hook if your tru-turns are bending.

gamakatsu has the best hooks!

- use flouro or clear in clear water.
- in slightly stained use clear, flouro, green, or hi-vis with a leader
- in dirty/stained water use braid or anything you want. it wont really matter
