Wild/native trout fishing in Pa. Without a question. On Tuesday, I had probably the very best day of wild trout fishing I've ever had in 25 years of "hunting" these trout! I said hunting because that's what you have to do be successful. I caught 21 trout! Let every one of them go. You have to if you want to protect the future of these beautiful fish.
Of these, 20 were browns, and one was a brookie. The smallest was 8", and my best was 14"!! That's a big wild trout considering my all time biggest is a19" brown.I caught him about5 years ago. I'll post a pic of him along with a pic of one of the MANYbeautiful pools on this very remote creek. Notice I said remote, because that's what you have to find to have the kind of fishing that I experienced. I will never forget last Tuesday as long as I live!

Here's my biggest so far. I caught this guy in Sullivan Co,Pa. Over the years I've caught literally hundreds of these little jewels. I've kept only 3. Two are on my wall, and I had to treat myself to a tasty dinner once. You really need to let these guys go to protect the fishery!
