Default Denny on fishing line

i know fishing line comes up pretty frequent here, i have been accused of fishing with a "broom pole and a well rope" some think its a good idea[&:]

He uses some heavy fishing line! I think it takes away some of the sport if there isn't a chance at breaking off granted I don't tournament fish and if I did I would use heavy line for flipping.

yea i was kinda surprised he didn't mention anything about lighter/smaller diameter for crank baiting, maybe it was solely for pitchin and flipin, i thought i used heavy line (minimum of 15 on everything but CB's and SB's) then i'll drop down to 12 and sometimes 10 but thats about it, as far as the sport of it, my primary objective is get the fish turned and headed in my direction, IMO when you have control over any fishes head you have control of that fish, the worst case is him swimming straight away from you, best case is when he is pointed toward the angler
