RE: Colors for bass fishing?
Generally the rule is dark baits on dark days and light baits on light days, but I caught a 10lber on a black 8 inch work on a day without a cloud in the sky. I fish mostly soft plastics, and I think that you need a couple baits in five categories. Mostly white, Mostly black, Neutral, Flash, and shock colors.
Mostly white and mostly black explain themselves. Neutral can be tan, translucent, smoke, and amber. Flash colors are the metal colors, silver, gold, copper. Bold or shock colors are the electric greens, oranges, chartreuse, yellow, pink, and fire tiger. If you have a couple baits in each color you can follow the basic rules, and if they don' t work you can just go through the five color groups chances are you will find what the fish are looking for. Don' t forget scent and sound the other important factors. Hope this helps some.
