I' m afraid I won' t have time to work next month. I have to fish for large mouth bass. Then I need to fish for small mouth bass. Then I gotta go scouting for bear. Then once I find the bear I have to go right back after him, cuz everyone knows that they wander, and I can' t let it wander off...cuz then I would have to start scouting all over again.
Boy, oh boy, I may not find much time to work next month. Too bad, I' m gonna miss it.

The temp. got up to about 49 yesterday and with all the snow melting the river was high, muddy. I wanted to fish the hot water a exit at the power plant but I couldn' t ,the current was too swift. I found some clearer water in a feeder creek but the water' s still too cold 41,never had a hit but it was good to get out..

I agree...after waiting all winter it just feels good to get out there and fish even if you dont catch nothing.

The lake I' ve been fishing the water temp is right around 45 Ive been fishing deep, real slow with a grub.
My friend caught a 4.5 smallie on sunday with a crank bait. I was thinking it was a little bit cold for cranking. but I guess I was wrong!!

I fished the Monongahela River this afternoon ,the water was slighly murky and 44deg.I fished a big backwater and got one LM 14 1/2 in.I couldn' t get anymore hits,so we went to the main river and fished the power plant ,we found the hybrid stripers feeding on shad in the hot water and caught several, the largest about 20 in.There real fighters and are hard on regular bass tackle.

Went out on saturday,Water temp upper 40' s.Nice day sunny and around 57 degrees I was fishing a little dropoff that went from about 12 to 16 ft.
I was dragging a carolina rigged worm.Caught a 4lb smallmouth!
Fishing is starting to pick up here,But its still not consistant.
I was the only one on the lake, perfect day to be out there!

Hey Now, I went today. Caught 6 bass in about 2 hours. Smallest around 1 1/2lb.
A couple about 3 lb. Shoot had a big ' ol bream hit my spinner[]. Dag thing was so big I had to lip her like a Bass. My spinner was a single blade, hammered, black and blue skirt.
Thats what I used all day - 4 hrs. Slowww rolled of stumps and stuff. They seem to hit just as it bumps and falls. Man its good to be fishing again[:-]
