Default Does anyone have the Hummingbird 525?

Does anyone have the Hummingbird 525?? I got some questions because I'm getting ready to box it up..

What my depth finder should do is...when I push in the power button...the little yellow button..a screen appears that says loading and then the 525 screen pops up..That is good and then the depth finder works nicely..This is the normal way it should be working.

BUT what has happened 3 times now.[:@]. an advanced menu comes up..and I can hardly get out of it..I assembled my transducer on the boat's stern correctly this time.[8D]..all wires are hidden under my carpet. Walmart says I have 90 days to take it back..This time I saved the box and reciept..I wish it worked good..I really do like using a depth finder.. BUT yesterday it took me 10 minutes to get it to the normal screen[&o]

Pushing the Exit button does not work..it simply takes you to other long menus..Turning it off wasn't working..it still comes up advanced menus...Pulling the unit out of the wiring harness and sticking it back in did not work..

I'd really stay away from the Wal Mart sonar units. They are generally factory seconds (you really think wal mart is paying full price for them?), or repaired units from other companies. Best bet is to save a little more money, and buy a lowrance, garmin, or higher end humminbird. It'll hurt the wallet, but the pay off will be worth it.

In fact, I think I have a Garmin 160 and a 140 i have laying around I can sell for pretty cheap.
