You guys don't know what youre missing out on

When you dont take a trip to the saltwater a time or two each year, or like me, about 200 times a year. I finally caught my first billfish (sailfish) this week and he put ona show like no other. We got about 20 different jumps out of him and acrobatics like I have never seen. IF you dont know what I am talking about go to the salt marsh a few times and get the experience along with the fight. A freshwater fish will never be able to match the strength, speed, stamina, or taste as far as I am concerned. The sailfish was caught on 20 lb test btw

Those are something I would love to catch that is for sure, or a big halibut! But for now I will settle for flounders, mackeral, and stripersfor salt water fish. To me though there is nothing like catching an Atlantic Salmon on a fly rod.. By the way congrats to you on your sailfish!

Thanks Phil,
It only took me 5 years to boat one of those pointy nosed critters. We forgot the good camera and the video camera, so of course it was gonna be the day to catch one. We have had an awesome two weeks of fishing and have had everything from 20 lb dolphin to 4 lb flounder, and kings and cobia. It is now next on my list to catch a NC Tarpon from start to finish on my own. Then comes the blue marlin and white marlin after that.

We got the charter we had on sunday some good dolphin action, with a 20 lb bull to liven up the mix. We dont have as many big dolphin here, but we get a good run of what they call bailers.
