Default RE: repainting dare devils

I just repainted some plugs for pike and bass. They' re now white with red heads. Believe it or not I just used Krylon spray paints...white primer first, then gloss white all over, then the red beyond the gill areas. You won' t have this problem because you' re painting metal spoons, but I forgot to spray primer on two of the plastic plugs and when I sprayed on the red, there was a chemical reaction all the way down to the plastic. I had to spray it 3 times to get the right shade of red. And now the head is wrinkled and pretty ugly.
The Krylon, cherry red makes a nice " blood red" color. My chemical reaction was caused by not using the same type and same brands of paint.
Good luck. critch

I have touched up some of my lures with my wife' s finger nail polish. That always seems to work well.
