Curious if anyone here fishes with any BASS Federation Nation teams? I have been looking at a few teams near my house and think I will be joining a team in the next month or so. It is a little late to get in on some of the big events and compete for the Fed Nation championships but will give me an opportunity to start competing again and plan for a busy year next year.
not currently but in the past fished state federation tournaments Tx and Al. and qualified for regional 3 times, anybody that goes thru those ranks deserves whatever they getit is a tough road and you better be on your game every tournament, cause the winner will be...also fished several redman regionals back in the day, missed going to the all-american by ounces one year[&o]
good luck

I would HIGHLY suggest you find a club affiliated with the federation. Fish your way through the club tournaments, earn a Mr. Bass award or two, and qualify through the club. Generally, most clubs pay for the expenses of a member fishing through the federation ranks. You will find that if you are not concentrating every single second of your fishing day, you WILL get your rear handed to you. These guys are good enough to fish the pro level tournaments, most just dont have the desire, finances, or want to travel.

you nailed it Josh, had clubs pay my way several times, all we had to do was finish in the top 6 in the club, but when you go to your state level tournaments it gets hairy[:-]BTW, i'm pouring some jigs soon let me know what you like weight/color/hook..

Well I am going to get hooked up with a team this year. Going to get in a few tournaments but really just use this year as preperation for next year. Should be interesting if nothing else!
