80 fish Day...6 fish over 5lbs, Two almost 7lbs.. You you gotta love Erie..

Wow! Nice haul there! You guys drop-shotting them? We usually go to The Thousand islands every September and fish the river. Growing up catching Largemouths down south, I can truly say that a Smallmouth will pull the gills off of a Largemouth. I'm going to try drop-shotting them in the river this September. Can't wait!

i remember last year my biggest smallmouth was on a buzzbait. it weighed about 6ish. i was crazy. i thought i snagged something up and then i realized what i had.

smallies are awesome fish. The only place I've ever caught any was in a creek and I doubt any were over two pounds but the fight they put up is amazing. You live in a prime spot for them I guess, but I could do without the cold
