Default Recent Steelhead Catches (pics)

Steelheading has finally picked up here in the West Michigan and Northern Michigan areas. Awesome fishing for the past week.

North Michigan, Fish on.



10+ pounder


Different river, male guarding a bed.


Spawn from a hen.


Different river, brown on an egg sucking leech!


Spawned out female, good eater.


Victim to the Egg sucking leech!


Spawn sucker


Last Fish, no field picture.

Awesome.

I'ver been out a few times the past 2 weeks with no luck. Snaging a ton of suckers though.

Finally managed to see a few steelies yesterday which was nice.

It's raining cats and dogs here now (more like sheep and horses).

Might be afew before I can get out again.

lrhuntr, it rained over the lake and here too all night. Completely ruined the fishing for me atleast until tomorrow or Sunday. After doing so well it is rather depressing.

That sure looks like some great fishing to me, Congrats!!I sure wish we had them here, I hope to spend a week in upstate N.Y. sometime to try it out...

Great catches! Are you floating the spawn sacks under bobbers or just letting them sit off the bottom?
