he he he i've been known to get a little jiggy brent[:-]
the jigs are really nothing special just try to use good sharp hooks and ensure that they are all the same (uniform, instead of mass produced), i have been playing with my own baits, plastics and jigs for years, still thinking about making some crankbaits..

sorry for the picture quality, i'll try to take some better ones soon[:-]

hey josh what do you like, i'll hook you up

Where do you purchase the hooks MT? When I happen to find any jig heads they tend to bend easy and that is something that is no good for anyone..

hey Phil, i buy mainly from Barlow's and netcraft (hook wise mustad hooks), both will send you a free catalog, which is loaded with stuff that you would never think of..snaps swivels sb blades and any kind of bait making item on the market..i have made some of my own molds for plastics, is almost as much fun as fishing, and when you catch fish on baits you have built/made it is agreat feeling, BTW hand poured plastics are the thing IMO, pour you up some reapers, zipper type wormsor centipede/helgemite type baits with the ultra soft stuff, fish will grab it and they are not going to let go, the down side they tear up easy[:-][:@] but you can always re-melt,, great winter time hobby

if i can help you let me know, BTW, the plastics can get a little messy[:-][:@], a small price to pay for catching fish

Thanks M.T. I will have to send out for the books and take a look at them. Mustads is what I use on fly tying, but for as far as leadheads the only thing around here will either bend or break off on you. They are just the cheap os.. Catching fish on stuff you have made up your are right about that. I had just sent Chuck a few streamers to try down there as up here the fish will hit them hard. Now if I can make something that looks like a fresh water snail would be great as well. As my favorite eating fish, the whitefishloves those fresh water snails. Thanks again i will check those catalogs out..

hey Phil do-it molds has a mold for a heavier wire hook with light weight heads, I'll try to find you some part #'s, in the meantime order those catalogs, the stuff we can do and build on our own is unreal, everyone here should have these catalogs, as they have everything you could imagine as far as fish catching (hooks, weights, line) and you can build your own rods, very, very, nice rods for the money,,

like i mentioned, great hobby and very rewarding

here are their websites

www.jannsnetcraft.com

www.barlowstackle.com

enjoy
