Default Panfish Problem

Hey guys, I have a small (7 acre) pond in Iowa that has too many Bluegill (up to 2 lbs each) and Crappie (there are some 3 lb'ers in there). Anyone interested in a panfish tourney this summer with fish fry afterwards? I have a 12 acre campground on the property for camping (tents only right now as I haven't gotten it all cleaned up and to code for campers yet). There are 4 other ponds on the property that right now I have no idea whether or not they are stocked. Anyway, just a thought to have some fun and clean out some of my problem.

I don't know if I'd drive that far just for some 'gills personally, but I know a few old retired boys that might.

Well I'm looking at the 4th of July weekend because I retire on July 1st and it's my favorite holiday of the year. I am checking into what the local requirements are for a fireworks permit and thought:

Friday - check in and fireworks display
Saturday - fishing tourney & fish fry, with other games for the families who don't want to fish
Sunday - Bass Tournament (Catch and release)
After that - leave when ever you want to.

I forgot to mention, I pulled an 18 lb channel cat out of the big pond last summer and put him back.

Depending on when your back, might be able to do that. May is the last month I'm working so I'll have my retirement physical and a lot of briefings on how to be a civilian. Let me know when you're gonna be back.
