since ya'll have had a major in-flux of freshwater (all year) in the bays and since this should force some salt/brackish water back into the bays i'd say its a no brainer

throw in some lightning and hail, and well, it should be prime-time[:-]

J/K, be careful, a member here posted an incident last year, we lost two younger outdoorsman in foul weather, if i remeber correctly they were duck hunters, hunting around baytown..

But see, thats the thing the rain is gone. I'm just wondering if the waters would be good for fishin. Do u think the bait will still be schooling with the fresh water

with the heavy run-off from inland i would thingk the fish would be scattered, i know when i lived out that way to much fresh water was a bad deal, and yall have had the lions share of "fresh water" this year. i have a buddy that lives in magnolia out side of tomball, his dad guides (trouts and reds)and he said the bay fishing had been tough

still, one thing about the salty water you will catch something

Well fishin was goodWe ended up with 19 spanish mackerel, we through like 10 that were legal backbut we had too manyso, i caught 1 shark and we caught 1 keeper speck. torut fishin is gonna be here and there from here on out. Now the mackerel are in and soon the flounder run will start,... NOW WE TALKIN FISHIN.We normally go down there for 1 day at a time, but durin the flounder run, we stay there at least 2 days. Because 2 or 3 people can limit out in an hour so 1 of us will haul butt to the hotel drop off the cooler and the when we fill up another repeat. Until it get hot and the fish stop feeding. A couple of huys close caught a 42
" and a 51 " reds. like 24 sharks were caught close to us n the little time we were there.
*P.S. All fishing off the bank*
