Well, fishing was slow again..The lady at the desk said Fish Hook was the only lake producing. I got there 25 minutes early and quickly went to one of my favorite points. A black and blue worm on the second cast caught a 2 pounder and a baby bass. I went to an underwater island and caught 3 more on that drop off. I fished Rapalas and Rooster Tail as well..nothing.Then I tied on a jig..I threw it in 16 foot of water and before it hit the bottom something picked it up. I set the hook hard. I had on those licorice type trailors..black. I boated him too.

6 bass boated. Tough fishing today.

good deal man, i got the tub out yesterday, talk about sloooowww, it was one of the deadest days on the water i have had in a long time, no current, no wind and 97 deg. we only fished for 31/2 hours, only caught one fish, but a good one, didn't weigh it but it was 24", 1 oz jig in 12 ft. river ledge, greenpumkin jigwith green trailer, first time i have had the boat out in 6 weeks[&o], but we had 100deg plus temps for almost 2 weeks[:@], i can't wait for it to cool off a little, get the ole stick and string out chasing some deer and fishing back like it ought to be.....,

we also tried to fish a little for some stripe, but i think not having any current really hurt us[:-]

only caught one fish, but a good one, didn't weigh it but it was 24",

Great fish..wished you had a picture.. I hear ya about getting ready for archery...I'm only out here because of the tourny.I plan to hit it hard this weekend and the following week. Then...I 'll put the rods up till ..Christmas .Crappie come in then.
