I think that is great to be able to get your dad out and enjoy a nice fishing trip. My dad passed away 8 years ago and never really had the chance to. I was taking my next door nieghbor out until 2 years ago he was 87 on our last outing. He is now in a nursing home but we have some great memmories of those days gone by. On one of our trips we took and old friend of his so I took over the wheel on his boat so they could shoot the breeze together. That was the last outing for his friend who has now passed away. So it is great to take someone out that really enjoys it and can teach you some of the ways they used to fish and share some of the stories with.

Here is the same man my Dad that got me started. I am 49 now.

Sorry that your friends passed. I constantly preach to take the seniors and the kids while you can. You never know when you WON'T be able too.

how cool, your dad don't look "75" though, must be the high module graphite diet he's on
