My new 74.00 Eagle review ...piece of junk

Well.
Aaron and I went out looking for crappie this morning. We only boated 3 small ones. my motor started first pull//praise God for that.

i tried my new depth finder out..

1. Readability ...just as clear as my Hummingbird 565 was.

2. Easy to use..

3. Depth was right on/

I don't beleive all the fish it showed..to good to be true..showed nice contrast lines and structure. I like it.

It's has a small screen so I removed the temperature reading and made the depth numbers small.

did it actually show fish symbols, or hooks/slashes?

I think it is able to show either from reading the manual..but this morning it showed fish synbols big and small. .{ Also the suspended fishes depth was recorded.} not bad for 74 dollars. Thefish I take serious are the ones you see on the bottom on a slope going from example...3 feet to 9 feet.
Even the manual saidto not put a lot of stock on the fish, The depth was right on and the picture was very clear.

disable those fish icons, and you'll get a much better indication of the fish. basically anything thats suspended in the water will trip the fish icons.

When I adjusted my sensitivity to 50 % ,,,that helped eliminate a bunch of garbage .I love my new Eagle..I found a new spot today because of it.. a 5 foot to 32 foot drop..Fish were there . Here 's the best one caught today/ It was caught by my neighbor and it weighed 4.2 pounds. It was 20 inches long.

That sounds like a pretty good depth finder you got(good price too) My marked down to $15 dephfinder at walmartone that use to be $80 i got a few mths back ) i havent tryed yet.

Congrats C7,s nabor- nice fish.

We havent had so much luck some with eltronics lately..( took a deep nose dive)....likeour pc[&o]- it did cost a lot to get a new one...

( now just maybe if i replaced the motherboard& intrgrated video chip on the old pc - it might work[>:])

Well ,
It's August 2nd and she is broke...I double checked and cleaned everything...she just went hay wire on me..The unit is in great shape...her brain is fried.I'm taking it backto Wally as soon as I get it off the boat.

I bought it on.July 11th..there is not a scratch on the transducer or transducer cable..I did a good job mounting it and getting it away from everything...

I reckon I'm done with depth finders for a while...

chuck, check out bassboatcentral.com there are quite a few depth finders on there that are better than the china made wal mart stuff, and they will sell them to you used for next to nothing.
