I went fishing today for some brook trout and splake.. The only access to the lake is a camp road that the owners allow folks to use. On the end of it is a camp that belongs to some folks from out of state. When we got there the camp had some broken windows in it and a porch door left wide open. Upon seeing this I tried to make a cell phone call out to the state police but, it kept breaking up. As the ridges in there wouldn't allow for much of a signal. So we unloaded the canoe and tried our luck (3 of us went ) without knowing if our message got out for sure. While fishing the game wardens came in so we went back to shore and talked to them. They were glad we had called and will get a hold of the camp owners to let them know. Now, we are concerned that access will be blocked because of some stupid act that someone had to perform... We didn't have any luck but saw a hugh buck sporting an easy pope and young rack that is still in velvet... I guessI know where I will be hunting during bow season...
That deer sounds great...One sad story that makes me sick was..
Two fellows were out at Saddle Creek drinking Bud Dry...They were in a fast boat and kept getting real close to 2 black men fishing in a 12 foot jon. The black men screamed for the boat to go away but they laughed...The speed boat ended up causing the jon to turn over..One man swam ashore..the older fellow drowned..This was 10 years ago and they still have made no arrest.
where i fish if you forget something you better hope your friend picks it up for you or it will be stolen. and its just a small neighborhood pond in a nice area
