Default RE: Another wonderful morning..

Here's the story,

Matt had just had 3 spots cut out of his head. They were not good and he has many others. We were scheduled to fish legs and last night he called and said he was to depressed to fish. When I got to the check in the lady said we have one more spot for Fish Hook. I took it and cancelled Legs Lake. I then called Matt and told him to bring some shiners.

While I was waiting I worked the edge wkith Rooster tails where I picked up 3 . Then Matt came...We went out to a point with a 12 foot drop off.
LOL He said, "These little 2 pound fish can really fight dad." We both were fishing spinning rods because we like the drag system better. I said ,Darn, I must not of set the drag on that reel..I don't here it." He was bringing in a small fish we thought.Yeah right..all of a sudden the drag began singing her song. 3/4 of the 6 foot Lightning Rod is under the boat..and Matt says again,"These fish can really fight for their size.." We hadn't seen the fish yet...it's been a good 45 seconds so far..All of a sudden she jummped. I yelled,"Don't lose that fish!!.you need it for the tournament."
I've never seen such a stout fish in my life. She is straight solid fish all the way back to the anal fin. Up to this time his biggest was 5.5.I weighed her on my trusty mechanical and he was very happy at 7.1 pounds. I'm getting him some copies made from Walmart. He kept saying how glad he was to decideto come.go fishing today. He started fishing at 7:15 and stopped at 9:00. He worries about the sun. He is very proneto skin cancer.
God bless,
C7
