Default Local Fish Report

Lot's of big bass reported being caught in my area.Here's today's newspaper report.

1Around Lakeland, Mike Savites of Lakeland landed a 10-pound bass Saturday morning at Tenoroc on Bill Dance Swimmin' Image, reports Phillips Bait and Tackle. Lakes Butterfly, Fish Hook and Half Moon producing bass up to 7-8 pounds, reports Brian Fleming at Tenoroc. Stacy Roberts at Phillips said Tyler Akers of Lakeland boated 9-pound bass Saturday at Saddle Creek Park on shiner. Great weekend for panfish around full moon, with limits of big bluegill at Saddle Creek on crickets. Panfish at Tenoroc in Fish Hook, B and Hydrilla.

"Water stained; 69 degrees; 6.36' low. Black bass to 12 pounds are good on blue/white deep crankbaits and watermelon red Carolina rigged soft plastic worms and lizards. Crappie are fair on minnow-tipped jigs. Channel catfish are fair to good on live bait. Blue and yellow catfish are good on cheese bait in 5 - 10 feet. Record 5 black bass weighing 44.98 pounds caught this past weekend."

45 lb. black bass? i thought those were smaller than larges.

largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass are in the black bass family

he was saying the guy weighed in a tournament limit of five bass that weighed 44.98lbs recently caught at choke canyon, that means his average weight on each fish was 9#'s
