I find it very strange when places have seasons and opening days for fishing season. I can understand hunting season but really don't understand why places put a season on fishing. I have never experienced this before. I've lived in two states, WV and IL and thank god if I want to go fishing I am free to fish year around.

Here we have 2 fishing seasons, open water fishing season and ice fishing season. I liked the song also and thought it was pretty cool, Thanks for sharing.

We have open and closed dates on lots of lakes and streams cause they dont want people fishing while the fish are spawning, thats the main reason, but as for some rivers and streams being closed during winter that is also for saftey reasons.
