Default If we had a real tournament..e few questions.

If we did do one annual ge ttogether tournament..here are a few questions.

1. Would you be a boater {Meaning you woul diffently bring your boat which is capable of fishing a big lake} or would you be a non boater?

2. What time of the year would b ebest for you to come?

3. Would you want to do it for fun or money?

4. If money, about how much was you thinking?

Any other suggestions for questions?

I would be a non boater ..
2. What time of the year would b ebest for you to come?
Christmas vacation, last week of March Spring break or summer.

3. Would you want to do it for fun or money?
Doesn't matter to me..
4. If money, about how much was you thinking?
100.00 would be tops for each man.

Suggestion...gas is presently 3.00 a gallon for the cheap stuff. we may want to wait till she goes back down to 2.30

2nd suggestion..
Since there would only be a few people..

2 prizes equally split between

1st place boater and ...the 1st place non boater..

1)Non-boater, maybe boater depending on lake access and size. My jon boat is mighty small.

2)May, June, July, even then only certain weekends

3)Doesn't matter

4)Like you Chuck $100 bucks max.

Don't know if I could even make it this year, I have to save all my vacation time to take the wife and daughters to Orlando in January.

If the lake is small...I can fish by myself from my 10 foot boat...I will need the extra space for the live well.

1) boater
2) depending on location march - april in the south, may - june in the north
3) absolutely
4) $100, paid out 3 places, plus a $25 each person for overall big fish

Since this is a small friendly tournament between members, and I dont think any of the non boaters would "front end" the non boater in such a small money tourney, Theres really no reason to split up between boaters and non boaters. The boaters can even help out the non boaters by allowing them to chose the water they fish for half of the day (boater gets choice of the first 4 hours) and perhaps even letting them operate the trolling motor if the non boater feel comfortable doing so.

To be honest a tournament would be fun but I think a fun day or weekend for everyone to fish together and get introduced face to face should be the focus. We already know that we have people here that fish for different species so to have a tournament would certainly limit a bunch of people. I think a weekend were we can all get together and just have a good time would be best. Maybe 2 days of fun fishing where those non-boaters switch boats every 3 hours or so. And if we can find a lake where we can have a group shore lunch would be awsome. And a lake that has a campground on the water so we can stay just feet from the boats!!!
