Default What is this, and how do I rig and fish it?

It also has a slit in the belly of it, what is that for?

looks like a bass assasin or a fluke, rig it weight-less and weedlesswith a good size hook 3/0-5/0 and cast it out and twitch it along, deadly bait for bass, i like to throw them out and let them sink about 6" to a foot and twitch it about a foot, let it sink and repeat back to the boat/fisherman, the action is great, and when a bass hits it they generally hold it pretty good

good luck awsome baits

bass assassin Fin-s-Fish - basically a fluke. I like to fish them in the way mt hands described, over emerging grass in the early summer.

dad left early this morning. I'll be here a few more weeks. cant say i'll get to fish anymore though. Just shelled out $400 for new tires, and I need to get a new control box for my motor - was hoping to find a used one off a scrapped boat for cheap, but no such luck.

i run the hook thru the nose (about 1/4-3/8") and out towards the side with the slot (bottom), and then back up thru theslot to the topside of the bait, then the point of the hook will lay flat on top of the bait, i also barely stick the point back into the bait to keep from snaggin grass and such, my two guesses of what the slot is for???, makes the bait float/suspend better and less bulk to get in the way on hook-sets

also check here for a visual, this is with a slug-go but should be comparable

The same thing I was thinking but need the year, the horsepower, and make . There is a junk yard for boat motors here that sell used boats motors and parts.
