Default Salmonid Identification Quiz

I came across this little test and figure i would post, it has to do with the Salmonid's found in Alberta so give er a whirl and post your score.

"Your score is:100%" i would sure hope so since i fish for all of them every year

Great quiz lethal! I got a 75%, seems I wouldn't know a bull trout if it bit me in the.... Oh well, not much chance of me catching one in Indiana or Michigan.

Lil hint we know here in alberta cause u cant keep any bulls anywhere and its " NO BLACK PUT IT BACK" which means if there is no black spots on the fins then its a bull.

Same here 95% but, some of those bullheads look alot like Atlantic Salmon parr!

Aren't bull trout the same species that is called dolly varden in other areas, such as Alaska..??... I've caught dollies in Alaska from the Mulchatna River...They are legal to keep there, and were very good eating, as were the leopard rainbows and grayling...We were mainly hunting rather than fishing, but the fishing was good and a meal of fresh fish was awelcomechange from eating moose and caribou every day for a week , not that there's anything BAD about eating moose and caribou...

Dolly varden are different from bull trout. Bulls are true trout, while Dollies are Arctic char.
