Need a little more info such as water temp., water clarity, and what kind of impoundment you are fishing. Here in IL where I live the surface temp. of the water has reached the high 50's low 60's and I have been having some great luck on spinnerbaits as well as some soft plastic baits.

Artificial...depends on situation...Weedless spinner baits, plastic soft baits or top water
