Saskatchewan's Giant Lake Trout
John Geiger, of Rockton, Illinois, caught this enormous lake trout on July 11. The fish was 50 inches long with a 33 1/2-inch girth. Its estimated weight, 70 pounds, puts it just 2 pounds shy of the all-tackle record.

That is deffinately a monster Rebel, here the biggest taken out of West Grand has been a 28 pounder caught by a guys girlfriend back about 10 years ago. There is some really big ones there according to the biologists that have netted them for measurements and all but hardly any of them ever get caught. I guess we do not know how to fish for the big ones here. Thanks for sharing!
