Pa stocking

went out saturday to help stock and wow very little trout and maybe 3 big ones. i cant wait for jersey! i always fish pa for trout but this year SUCKS

where did you stock and how small where trout 10 or 12 inches, I'm going out on march 27 to stock pa canel from washington crossing to calhon street bridge

Well do you know now gets me mad they don't put down the numbers of the types of trout they put into the waters now.

All the Fish Commission has done since they got the trout stamp is cut back the stocking program. The stream I fish most has not been stocked in years.

from new jersey helped stock trout in canel the other day put in 3,100 rainbow trout 31 golden trout

I went out opening day and they didnt stock the stream i was going to fish in. The Game Commission said they didnt have enough funds for stocking that stream. So i went to a few others and caught close to 100 trout on opening day. The most ive ever got. They were all between 11 and 14 inches. Today im going to a pond where there was a kids fishing tournament yesterday and im going for the 3, 9 to 11 pound trout that didnt get caught in there.

Hey go to http://sites.state.pa.us/PA_Exec/Fish_Boat/mpag1.htmand look for the creek you want to find stocked because thats what I do.

Not as bad as Western Maryland... alot of the bigger hatcheries got whirling disease so alot of the places I usually fish arent even getting stocked...
