1. Which would be better for a jon boat
Sick Marsh or Farm 13??

2. Does it get crowded??
Thanks,

Chuck, I've been out there about 6 times.I'd advise to stay out of the stickmarsh and fish the perimeters in the canals. If you do fish the stickmarsh, 100# test line is recommended and motoring can be quite slow because of all the stumps. My favoriteplace is the exterior rim canal at the in flow gate where the boat ramp is and it runs parallel (E&W) to canal 58. The flowgate is about a mile from the boat ramp.
I'm not sure about your jon boat, the only concern I'd have is gators. They are just about a nusiance and convege around your boat makeing the use of top water lures impossible at times. Gators the size of your jon boat are a common sight down their as they have lost their fear of man. The water is a real dark tainted colour and I like useing a blue back rattle trap and a chartruse spinnerbait, and my favorite worm which is a Creame worm with a white tail. I use the 8" ones and had to special order these from Creame in Texas. That tail seems to really get there attention in that tainted water. If things slow up use the b-b's inside the worm to make noise. I've used this rig to beat my brother a many time.
Goood Luck.

Bobby

This is farm 13 last year.

There is a site that gives weekly updates.I was planning to fish Farm 13 instead of Stick Marsh..I hear both areas are gettingtough for artificail lures and shiners are reccommended.A friend of mine went last year and caught 125 bass. He said it's the best time he's ver had.His biggest was only 6 1/2 pounds. My favoriteplace is the exterior rim canal at the in flow gate where the boat ramp is and it runs parallel (E&W) to canal 58. If things slow up use the b-b's inside the worm to make noise. LOL I use basically the same thing including worm rattles and garlic oil. However if 6 1/2 pounds are about tops I can catch those here. Fact where I go up to 8 is common and 10s are reported often. I've used this rig to beat my brother a many time.
Goood Luck.

This is farm 13 last year. Nice picture. I was looking at some Farm 13 pics yesterday online and it looks like a jon boat might be ok...I'm more concerned about wheel bearings falling apart on the way to the place. LOL I do keep an extra complete set greased with me though. I'm sort of usedto the gators and if they are a very serious threat I keep my 357 close. The only scary part here I've had with garors was once I was wading and spinning. I was only in 6" of water. I nearly stepped on a 12 footer which was sumerged in the mud. FREAKED me out. ..or sometimes when your flipping you can come up on one. They will thrash around with their huge tail because you freaked them out.

Thanks for getting back with me.
