Default Speck Fishing (Feb 17 2007)

Headed out with a late start. Here's the pictures

19 1/4 inches, good way to start the morning Also, first fish on my Lightning Rod

Don't know the measuremnt on him, but a bit smaller

My face with a rare show of intense concentration [8D]

The old man trying to see some fish

Waiting for lunch
All in all, we ended up with 6 brookies (I caught 3, and everyone caught one) in about two hours. They hit really well for an hour when we first got there, then they died down to nothing. Good fun day though

Some real nice looking brookies you there KonaBoy, Congrats!

It is funny how trout fishing goes sometimes, you hit them quick or just wait around all day for a bite. But, it is always a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

This lake is always like that, you'll either have them hitting consistently, or else you'll just be enjoying a nice day on the lake I don't find the Lakers and Rainbows to be as fussy though

The lakers here are always fussy, they have alot of feed like freshwater smelts. The big ones like to eat cusk so the are really difficult to catch. The biggest one caught out of West Grand is around 28lbs. So we all keep trying for that big one. They just do not seem to bite good. I lost one last week though after watching it on my aqua-view under water camera. So we know they are there.
