Speaking of ice scoops i have a little tip. I usemetal scooper and have it ice up on my sometimes so i bang it against my boot to get the ice off. Did that last time i was out and the scoop snapped off the handle. When i got home i drilled 2 holes in the scoop and handle, but a bolt and a nut through them, thighten it up then ground off the bolt with a sidegrinder. Tough as nails now. If i was gettin another scoop this is the first thing i would do.

I'd tell your buddy it works better if he uses the large one instead of the extra small. [8D]

Good fix Hiawatha. I use the metal ones too and have done the same. When I buy a new one I fix it even before I use it since that tack weld never holds. I snapped my first one off by banging it on the ice to break the ice. I put electrical tape all down the handle to keep the cold metal from sticking to my hands when it gets below zero.

My thoughts exactly.

I think the metal ones are the best, haven't found one better.
