A friend and I went trout fishing and caught 3 trout of which 1 was only legal size. Wouldn't you know it was taken away from us and here is a photo of the culprit. ( legal size is minimum of 12 inches )

RE: My Fish Was Taken Away
Nice pictures and I usually don't see many around here. The gulls are another story. They will take any small fish left on the ice even if you are just a few feet away. Last year they even stole an ice rod. I filled my bucket with bluegills and left the rod andlure on the ice while I took the bucket to the sled. When I turned around I could see a large gull pecking at my lure and when I ran over it took off with my lure in it's bill and the rod right after that. I chased it all over the area but couldn't catch up with it. Last time I saw myfavorite rod it was heading south at 200 feet. Pretty smart gulls around here and now they are fishing with rods.LOL

Too busy with fishing to spend much time here.
Out fishing last year and my buddy had caught a walleye and when we got it to the boat its eyes had been popped out what was really unusual and we can keep walleye at that lake so we had to release it and it just floated on top as suspected cause it had died from the whole eyes poppin out and we got about 50yds from it and a Pelican had swooped down and snatched it right up. Cool to watch, but a Bald Eagle now that would have been neat to see except for the fact he jacked your only trout.
