Default Egg curing recipes

It's beenseveral years since I cured salmon eggs. Just newspaper, a little sugar andborax then vacuum seal. At the store I was at they had several jars of a special cure recipeand colors to boot. A small jar was anywhere from 5.99 to 8.99. Since a 2 3/4 pound box of borax is less than $3. Just wondering what you all do with your eggs.

Default RE: Egg curing recipes

I have used cured eggs--that were cured by my fishing partner and I think that he used the borax recipe at the time. Still, it would preferable, imo, to use something with no negative environmental impacts instead of borax if possible.
