Default plastic bag lure?

I went out to my local lake and was talking to an older gentlemen and he said that a 6-8in strip of plastic bag and put it on a regular hook or jig and use it instead of a plastic worm. has anyone heard of this or used it? If so, does it work???

Default RE: plastic bag lure?
