I went fishing for some trout on saturday and caught myself some nice trout. My buddy taugth my how to clean em and so we barbequed em up. Lotsa bones, but we managed to get around em and the fish was delicious. Here's pic of me and my stringer.

I did catch them out of that pond, but it wasnt a "Just drop your hook in the water and pull up a fish." You had to actually cast pretty far. The water was really clear and the fish could see you and your line,so it was really tough to get hooked up. You really had to experiment with different baits, and they wouldnt go after most things. And if someone comes out with the wise ass remark of my fishing skills, my friend Mark, who is an avid fisherman, also had trouble hooking up.

Was this one of those pay lakes/ponds where they charge you money to fish?

Up here in the Adirondacks those would be average. Been fishing the Ausable regularly, today they wanted chernoble ants and nothing else!
