Good Smallie my dad caught

Here's a smallie my dad caught on monday. 20.5 inches on a ultralight rod using a no-name crankbait at 3 in the afternoon. This is his biggest bass to date, but he's searching for one that'll beat my biggest (22.5 inches).

Wow thats a beauty! My biggest was last year, 22 inches on the nose. I don't know what kind of weight that is. We caught lots of nice ones this summer but nothing huge, seemy post "smallmouths".

Yeah, I have no idea what mine weighed either, but it was spring and she was full of eggs, so probably was up there. I had one summer, I was 13 or 14, by the end of July, I had caught 6 bass over 19 inches with 4 hovering around the 21 inch mark

That summermade me decide to buy a scale (I still haven't and I'm 17).

That is a huge smallmouth. I'd like to know what that thing weighed.The width on the body is very impressive. I caught a few last year that were around 18 inches, but neither one of them came anywhere close to being as big as that hawg.

I caught a 20.5 in. smallie last year and it wieghed in at 5 pounds. One of my friends dad was in the boundary waters and caught a 24 in smallie that wieghed 8 pounds. It would have been a state record but likeI said they were in the boundary waters and wouldn't have been able to get it in.
