Default Homemade Rod Holders

Hey i am looken for a good cheap way to make some rod holders does anyone have pics or ideas.

I do not have any pictures but up here we use PVC pipe. We cut it to length decired and bolt it on. You need to get a piece that is just big enough for your rod to set so as it wouldn't get pulled out. Also we use them for striper fishing here too. We cut those about 3 to 4 feet long so we can pound them in the ground and set our rods in them. You should see them when the rod tip bends down and touch the ground when one of those hit.

if you have access to a pipe bender, you could use some heavy gauge wire and bend a rod holder to just darn near any shape you want.

when we bought our boat, my dads friend (the guy who owned it before us) took a 2x6 and drilled holes into it, then put brackets on each end. and on one of the ends, he made it so the bracket would move and it gets secured on that side by two wingnuts. ill try to get a pic of it.
