Default Where did all my fish go?

I've been lightly (once a week) fishing a moderate size pond the past month and all of a sudden the fish are not hitting at all any more. I've noticed that the pond has lost about 1 1/2 ft. of water in the past 2 weeks but I've tried everything. Worms, spinners, poppers, cranks, bread, praying, even my go to Joe's Flies aren't getting hit. Where could they have gone?

I'd give the pond a rest for a month or two and then go back to it. Ponds can get burned out pretty easy.

It usedto bother me too THEN...I watched Bigmouth Forever. They had an underwater camera and this is what I saw. Hundreds of bass swimming. They put in live shiners and every bait imaginable. They would not touch it. Some actually sucked the entire bait down and spit it out and the angler wasn't even aware he had a bite. There are certain days in the month when a fish will not bite. Last week was like that for me. Then a Hunting.net man visited me yesterday wanting gator pictures. I said "Do yua m,ind if I toss a rubber worm over board while he was going full throttle with the trolling motor. I was catching bass and got many bites. When there hot their hot and when their not their not.

PS I went with an oldwise fishermanto a farm pond in VA. We were striking out big time. What he would do is fish at differnt spots WAY OUT in the middle. He would gradually cast a few feet out farther and farther away Finally..we found them and got a mess.

When the water gets hot and the level drops bass will often go to the deeper areas where there might be more oxigen and cooler darker water.
