Default Happy Fathers Day all you fishermen

I just wanted to wish you all a happy fathers day. I spent this morning out on the lake with my middle daughter fishing in the annual LCI fishing tourney. Yesterday we caught 29 but so far today it is slower. We caught quite a few smallies over 18" but so far nothing to enter as a big fish. The picture below is the last fish we caught before our fathers day brunch which we have every year. It was 19" and around 4 pounds.

Hey thanks it's the best thing in the world to be a father. Everyone have a happy fathers day!

Remember there is a difference between being a father and being a parent of a child. Keep up the good work on being great fathers and staying active with your children. They will never forget it and will love you for it.

thanks CI and back at ya. that is a beauty, nice fish too, you should be proud, i wish mine liked to fish more[&o], but i do have a grandson that is showing some promisewooo hoo, the bad thing for me, i live 1.5 -2 hours from pickwick (and good smallie fishing), and only 3.5 miles from guntersville (one of the best largemouth lakes in the country)but i am still envious of ya'lls small mouth fishing, i just hope one day i can make it up that way and experience it. keep wearing them out

It was her. She had the largest today and that was the picture. It was close to 4 pounds but in reality was 3 pounds 15 oz. Didn'tquite make the 4 pound limit. Nice fish 19 " and pretty fat. When I get a 20" fish that is pretty good for here and always goes 4 pounds or better. I had another good thing happen today. The pro's are practicing on our lake for the FLW tour event this week and an up and coming angler started to talk with me on my dock while he was fishing out front. Hecame to shore and met my family and even gave me a ride in his ranger boat with all the bells and whistles. What a thrill to talk fishing with a pro. I hope he does well. He is from Alabama and has been on the road since Feb. His name is Charlie Cummings and is a great ambassador for his sport. Go Charlie!Oh I almost forgot. Chuck I posted my largest today which was a 3 pound 13 oz. You and Josh'srecord is safe for now.Tight lines and back at it tomorrow at least for part of the day.

Yes he is doing well this year. I checked with the FLW outdoors site and he is currently in 45th place overall with this final event to go. He told me if he finishes well he will qualify for the Championship and I think 500K! If the wind isn't too bad I'll take the boat over to Plattsburgh tomorrow and watch the day 1 launch. I was thinking he would come by today but so far I haven't seen him. He stoped over yesterday and had a friend practicing with him who is also from Bama and will be fishing as a non boater. Long trip to fish the back of someone's boat if you ask me. We had a huge T Storm suddenly come up and I told Charlie he better head to a sheltered cove but he said he would just motor out in the middle and ride it out. I hope he made it because it was the worst storm this year so far. Lakke Champlain can be deadly but I imagine he is pretty skilled at running a boat. The lightning was something else and I wouldn't want to chance that.
