I went floating Good Friday with a friend of mine on a local river. We caught 75 keepers and around 120 fish in all. The goggle eyes just cracked me up. We were catching them on big jigs, spinnerbugs and everything else we threw. We had to fight through them just to get to the smallies!! Dern things. Anyway, I've only caught a handful of small mouth in my illustrious career, and this 2 pound 11 ounce fish is by far my largest. Chris has caught some in the 4 pound range on this stretch of water, and I have high hopes of one later in the year. Just thought I'de share it with you.
