This morning I flipped the shore line and caught4 one and 1/2 pounders. i took my 14 year old boy we adopted. His motor skills are rough .We call him Babe. Babe said, "Dad if the males are guarding the nest then the mamas must be in the deep" With that he chucks out a weedless spinner bait.in the middle.I happened to turn and see his Med heavy Lightening rod bent and he's reelin to beat the band. I'm shouting Don't lose that fish and keep the rod tip up. All of a sudden big mama bust out from the water tail and all. I grab the net and wait for an opportunity. She is close to the boat and I nabbed her with the net. he had a smile a mile wide. 24 " and 6 1/2 piounds. I took 8 pictures.The darn camera did not work.Talkin about mad.I'm furious. I will take a spare cheap camera from here out. He's hooked. He loved it and so did I. By the way..I learned something today ..listen to Babe .
