Seagull stole my ice rod

I was in a back bay fishing for bluegills today and filled my 7 gallon pail. I was catching a few shad which can be apain in the buttand fed a couple to the gulls because they looked hungry. There were a bunch hanging around and when I got up to empty my pail into the sled tote one walked over to my hole and picked up thelure and took off. I chased it all around the lake until it got enough altitude and there went my favorite ice rod. 30" blue south bend UL with a wonder reel 10 and a #10 chartreuse and orange demon tipped with 2 maggots. I was real mad at first but then started to laugh because it was so rediculous. Last time I saw it the gull was 200 feet up and beating it's wings fast like a duck and heading south.

Never had this happen but, I've lost 2 to fish and watched a bald eagle steal a nice salmon while tending another line. It looked like a B-52 about two feet off the ice as it came cruising in. Then one quick grab and the salmon was his. Only to go about 400 yards to land and have lunch with it. Then one time I watch my brother catch a loon from a boat on a red and white dare devil and that thing was crazy it would swim and fly and it gave a good laugh. We got the hook out of it and let it go.
