By the look of the console that must be an Allison? All I can say is SWEET RIDE!!!! Nothing wrong with a 225 but an Allison will take a 300 ProMax............

I've got no boat worth posting but my bass tournament partner just sold his Gambler and is looking hard at Bullets and Blazers!!!!

Still 5 months until bass opens up around here

Big there is only about 2-3 300s on XB2003s like mine in the country. They are really bigger and heavier than needed (they illicit handling and setup problems compared too the lighter and higher winding 2.5 series Mercs). The 2.5 280 is a better choice but I tournment fish so I wanted to stay under 250hp (only the XB250 was available in 99 when I got mine, being the same basic engine it present the same probs as 300s on my boat). The 300X is better suited for the 21 Bullets, Allisons, Strokers and such. Tell your buddy he is better off sticking with the Bullet vs the Blazer. The quality difference between the two is lightyears!

LOL besides I'm doing in the 90s with the "lil ol duece ana qwatuh".Aint any tourney boats thatcan even get close as it is!

ps
Come on guys, I know there has got to be more boaters on this forum than me??? Let's see dem pics!!!

Funny stuff!! I never actually read who started the thread!! So the thread was started by "RedAllison" and I state "By the look of the console that must be an Allison?" DOH!!

"Cool" bass boats are hard to come by up here. I have only ever seen one Allison and it was beat up pretty good. Gamblers are getting more popular, think there was 4 or 5 in the 85 team tourny tour last year. Triton, Ranger, Skeeter are the majority. I have yet to see a Bullet or a Stroker ever, let alone in Eastern Ontario.

Gotta love bassboatcentral.com!!! Always good deals to be had.

Drew.

Hey Red,
Here in Florida we are in our prime...I've been catching about 50 crappie every week and hookin gup with 5 pound bass by accident. They are spawning heavy down here. Also...real good to see ya back my friend. I'll post my awesome rig later when I take a picture..sometime today.

It's a heavy duty {All welds} alumnum 10 foot jon boat I bought 20 years ago used for 100.00. NO leaks., carpeted, depth finder, 40 lb thrust Minn Kota, nice swivel seats, lights on the trailor work, camo paint, great for where I fish since you can't run gas motors. Two of us stand in it flipping and the boat is very stable. Will post picture later today. It catches fish real good and i can dock it from anywhere {No ramp needed}

Chuck7

PS yours and the other boats are very nice...I have no place to park the bigger boats and cannot afford the upkeep on such rigs.God bless.

lol Chuck you have THE best kind of fishin boat there is. That thing aint purty, aint fast, aint flashy and I doubt anyone would even steal it. What makes it so great? That aint a bassboat or a crappieboat or an xyzboat it iswhat I call aCATCHINBOAT!!! You can take a boat like that and get back into the nasties and fish little bodies of water that are either to bad to carry those big, expensive glass boats but you can get back into the fishy areas and CATCH THEIR REARENDS. I have two small boats, an 8' plastic two man "pond hopper" and a 14' jonboat and I have caught MANY more fish from them than I ever have in any of my big glassboats.

LOL, but don't think I aint skeert of gettin my red baby dirty or scratched. She was less than one week old (I'm the original owner) when I brokein the motor and then carried her the next week too Lake Fork, TX for a week in March '99. If you've never been to Fork it is a 40,000acre flooded hardwood forrest with HUGE stumps and trees!!! [:@]

I wish I had a pic of my "first" boat. When I was about 11 years old I bought a 2man inflatable that I used to tow on a two wheeler/dolly behind my dirtbike! It had a piece of plywood in the bottom for the "floor" (lol and it was wrapped in a beach towel to keep splinters from puncturing the boat!) with a stadium seat strapped too a plastic milk crate for my "pedestal bass seat"! Can't call me un-creative...

ps
Champ' Islander that is about the LONELIEST picture I ever did see...
