LAKE OKABOJI, IOWA

Hasanybody ice fish this lake this year? Any luck?How's the ice?
Plan ongoing out there in mid February if the ice is good.
I've been out there a few times. Coming from South central Wisconsin. Its a pretty good ride.

Hi there tow2,
I live here in Okoboji and the fishing has been spotty to say the least. A few gills in the bays, and some perch. Walleyes have been spotty as well. You are thining of coming in Feb, things should change by then and get a good bluegill bite going on in the weeds in Emerson Bay. Right now the middle of the lake is open, but I would bet the ice will be good in Feb. The perch bite might be going on Spirit Lake as well, somethingyou will want to check on before you head this way. I don't ice fish much, but I do find the time to go out every once and a while. I was wondering if you know what the ice conditions were like on Lake Okoboji? Were coming out from Wisconsin in mid Feb to fish for 4-7 days or so. Depending ice conditions.
